Draft to be reviewed. This is a plain-language draft based on how Mea Baby is designed. It is not yet in effect, it hasn’t had legal review, and it will change before launch.
Draft of 23 October 2026
The short version
- Your child’s records live on your device. Nothing leaves it unless you choose to share a child.
- Nothing is sold, nothing is used for ads, and there is no AI in Mea Baby.
- You can view and export your records, free, at any time.
This website and the waitlist
When you join the waitlist we keep your email address, the platforms you picked (iPhone or iPad, Android, web), which page you joined from, and when. We use this only to tell you about Mea Baby’s launch. If you join again with the same email, we keep the newest details.
The site and the waitlist run on Cloudflare. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers to fetch them. The site doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
How to ask us to remove your email from the waitlist will be added here before launch.
The Mea Baby app
Mea Baby is built to work on your device. You don’t need an account to start, and the records you log — feeds, sleep, health, plans, memories and photos — stay on your device.
- Sharing is opt-in, per child. When you share a child with someone, only that child’s records sync through our servers, so the other person’s device can show them. You sign in once, at that point. Other children stay on your device unless you share them too.
- You choose what each person sees. Each person in a child’s care team sees only the areas you allow, and only after you approve them. A child can have up to 5 people, including you.
- Stopping sharing. When you stop sharing a child, the server copy is deleted within 30 days.
- Deleting. A deleted child stays in Recently deleted for 30 days, so you can change your mind, and is then removed for good.
- Exports and backups are files you create and control: a Mea Baby file (optionally with a password), spreadsheets, or a summary for a visit. Backups go to your own cloud drive.
About children’s information
Mea Baby holds information about children that their parents and caregivers enter. It records and organises that information; it doesn’t diagnose or give medical advice.
Still to be written
Before launch this policy will add: who the data controller is and how to contact us, the legal bases we rely on, where data is stored and for how long, your rights in your country and how to use them, and how we’ll tell you about changes.
